site

thinking about the site project today, i think i want to look at building sites specifically, i have a fondness for the british builder having worked in property development for many years.
i think they are a much maligned bunch, yeah they have their quirky tradititions but also have a strong work ethic which is admirable(well the self employed ones i use do!!)
 i want to get hold of some old boots and maybe decorate them in praise of the builder!
back to "diamonds on the soles of her shoes"?
i looked at snow a lot in november, and notably footprints in the snow, the transient fleeting quality of temporariness, builders footprints in mud?
working in the snow to earn a crust?
their mark on the site then covered by the very thing they are building?
would part of their footprint be there forever?
embedded in the structure?
